Exhibited in Common Space Exhibiton, July 2023, Schiesslshaus Air Artist Residency Program, together with Olsen, Afshin Chizari and Mariia Mytrofanova at Altes Spital, Viechtach, Germany.

In the exhibition, the composition is installed throughout the space. Four headphones each play different levels of the composition, while the exhibition visitors can listen to the entire work via a fifth, centrally placed headphone and thereby identify the core sound material of the individual auditory levels.

The composition explores the interaction of field recordings from Kollnburg with cello and electronic sounds. The title of the piece is inspired by the composer and performer Pauline Oliveros practice of 'Deep Listening'; as well as personal experiences with intense, interpersonal relationships. Paying attention to a sound is an act of listening that changes our perception of that sound. In this sense, the sonic exploration of a new environment is similar to getting to know a person. It is the open-ended and playful process that creates the value of the connection, no matter what the outcome may be.

The composition Deep Love Play is about care, uncertainty, risk, chance and playfulness.
